What is a dental fee guide?

Most dental associations in each province publish and update a fee guide annually. Each guide contains a list of all the procedures that general practitioners can perform with a suggested fee or range of fees for each procedure. Although many dentists base their charges on this fee schedule, they are not bound by it. They may charge over or under the suggested fees at their discretion.
