Am I eligible for a vacation supply of medication?

If you are going on vacation, and will not have access to your pharmacy to refill your prescriptions, most plans allow for a six-month vacation supply (183 days) of your medications. Please let your pharmacy know you are going on vacation so they can indicate this through an electronic claims submission as they might need to use an intervention code.

An intervention code is an override command that your pharmacy team can enter when they are electronically informed of a potential error when fulfilling a prescription. For a vacation supply, they might have to enter an intervention code so you can fill your prescription sooner than you normally would.
