In order for your child, spouse, or dependent to book a counselling session, they will need to create an account with an organization code and with a valid email address. If the dependent has difficulties locating the organization code, they can contact customer support by email at info@arta.net. For non minors, the dependent can simply create an account with their own email using an organization code, and continue through the matching and booking process.
Signing up as a dependent works on an honour system, which means that counselling does not require proof that the dependent is linked to the person with counselling coverage. Dependent accounts are designed to be separate from the account of the individual in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), not tied to it. This flow was created in collaboration with our Clinical Services team to preserve confidentiality for all counselling clients.
If you are signing up for, or with, a minor, there are a few options:
-
Create an email address for your minor or dependent
-
Have the child sign-up with their own email account, but configure email settings to forward emails from Counselling by GreenShield Health to the parent email account. This can usually be done through email filters and can ensure that the child has their own account log-in, but the parent can keep track of counselling communication.
The option you choose depends on the maturity level of the minor child, level of parental involvement, and ability of the child to consent to the Informed Consent policy, amongst other factors. To see which account option is right for you, please reach out to our customer support team through email at info@arta.net.
